A childhood nickname given to our owner, Jamie, by her grandfather, a “Pfifferling” is a mushroom found in Germany as well as the US’s midwest. Jamie has German heritage and was born in Wisconsin so it seems fitting. While it is the literal word for a chanterelle mushroom in German, as a nickname it means not a thing/nothing at all/anything of little importance”, and it is wild, fruity, firm, earthy, peppery, much like Jamie herself!
